A bit of history
Established in 1941 by Mr Gaston VERBRUGGE, the company then specialised solely in hard chromium plating.
After several factory moves, it finally established itself in 1959 on the present site in the south of Lille.
At that time, it employed 8 people. All too quickly, in 1963, his son Jacques Verbrugge found himself alone at the helm.
Under the leadership of this "second generation", the business expanded progressively, in particular through the acquisition of neighbouring workshops but also through the addition of a "grinding" department to reach a total of 20 employees.
It was in 1997 that the "third generation", Jean-François and Jean-Louis, took over management of the operations.
The chromium plating line was fully overhauled and computerised.
Then the business grew first of all through the "extramural" development of the "grinding" department and then through the creation of the "chemical nickel plating" department in 2001 (ISO 9001 and ISTS 16949 certified in 2002).
It now employs more than 40 people and its turnover has quadrupled in the last 10 years. It is now European and provides a surface for many major companies throughout the EU, its development is now continuing through the imminent creation of an aluminium anodising site.
